A One-Hour Marketing Plan for Busy Season (With a Little Help From AI)

Busy season has a funny way of giving you more to market and less time to market it. You’ve got appointments to confirm, openings to fill, gift cards to mention, retail to move, clients to remind about rebooking, and seasonal skin concerns showing up right on schedule. Meanwhile, you’re doing treatments, cleaning the room, answering messages, ordering product, and once again discovering at 3:00 that the lunch you packed is still sitting in the refrigerator.
The good news is that you don’t need a complicated content calendar or a sudden burst of creativity. You need one clear message, a few useful pieces of content, and a way to get them finished before the week runs away from you.
AI can help with the drafting, but it shouldn’t decide what your clients need or what your business should promote. Think of it as the assistant who gets you past the blank page. You’re still the one in charge.

Start With One Clear Message
Before you open an AI tool, decide what you’re featuring, who it’s for, and what you want the client to do. Include the details that can’t be wrong, such as dates, pricing, availability, exclusions, and booking instructions.
Choose one message for the week. It might be an event-prep facial, winter barrier support, a gift card, a retail bundle, a cancellation opening, or a reminder to schedule the next appointment. Don’t try to promote six things at once. Your clients need a clear next step, and you need a marketing plan you can actually finish.
If the offer isn’t clear before you open the tool, the tool won’t fix it. It’ll just give you a polished version of an unclear idea, possibly with three sparkle emojis and a sense of urgency you never asked for.
Ask AI for Only What You’ll Use
Tell the AI tool what you’re featuring, who it’s for, what you want the reader to do, and any details it can’t get wrong. Then ask for only the pieces you’ll actually use, such as one short email, two social captions, and a client message. Be specific about your tone, and tell it not to invent claims, results, or urgency.
Make It Sound Like You
AI gives you a draft, not a finished message. Read every line and remove anything you’d never say to a client. Check the facts. Replace vague phrases with details from your practice. Delete promises, claims, or urgency that aren’t true. Make sure the booking instructions are correct.
Watch for phrases like “unlock your glow,” “elevate your routine,” “transform your skin,” and “don’t miss out.” If the message sounds like it belongs to every spa on the internet, it doesn’t sound like you yet.
Ask yourself: Would one of my regular clients recognize this as me? If the answer is no, keep editing.
Include Something That Helps Current Clients Stay With You
Not every busy-season message needs to sell something. A rebooking reminder, home-care check-in, seasonal skin tip, or brief note about planning treatments around travel and events can keep the relationship moving without turning every communication into a promotion.

Finish the Job While It’s in Front of You
Schedule the email and posts while they’re finished. Save the versions you edited, not the original AI drafts, so you start building a small collection of language that already sounds like you. Keep a quick note about what produced replies, bookings, or sales. You don’t need a spreadsheet with seven tabs and a dashboard that looks like it belongs at NASA.
What AI Shouldn’t Do for You
Don’t use AI to diagnose skin, prescribe treatment, create unsupported claims, invent testimonials, or answer a client-specific question that requires your professional judgment. Don’t paste private client information into a public AI tool. Read and verify everything before you publish it.
AI can help organize and draft your marketing. Your expertise, judgment, ethics, and client relationships still belong to you.
Keep It Simple Enough to Repeat
Useful marketing doesn’t have to be constant, complicated, or especially clever. It needs to be accurate, recognizable, and easy for the right client to act on.
One weekly message. One clear offer. One retention touch. One hour.
